Karen Ruet
Karen Ruet is one of the founding members of the SilverFish Photography Collective. After studiyng photography at Ryerson Polytechnic University and in Fredericton at the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design she became the Co-ordinator of Fredericton’s Artist-Run Centre, Gallery Connexion, a freelance photojournalist and arts writer for New Brunswick’s provincial newspaper, The Telegraph Journal and later wrote an arts column for Fredericton’s city paper, The Daily Gleaner. Karen has work in the permanent collection at the University of New Brunswick, has been in more than 30 group exhibitions, and is a full-time photography instructor at the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design in Fredericton. Karen was the George Fry Gallery Coordinator at the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design from 2005-2023.
