Tonė Meeg was born in Kristiansund, Norway. She was raised primarily in Kennebecasis Park (which is now part of the town of Rothesay), New Brunswick. She has managed to collect three undergraduate degrees: Bachelor of Art in English Literature at Dalhousie University, Bachelor of Fine Arts at Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and a Bachelor of Education at Saint Mary's University. Tonė has worked full-time as an art teacher in New Brunswick since 1993, currently teaching at George Street Middle School. She has done commercial photography, mostly weddings and portraits, to support her expensive photography habit. Joining Silverfish Collective in November 2001, she feels the combination of artistic and technical support, along with actual deadlines was the kick in the pants she needed to continue what she started during her art college days. |
